An ingenious little app by TheWEF that simplifies the process of converting an DVD to AVI. App can be found at http://gknot.doom9.org and if you want help with it (or AviSynth) then go to [Doom9's forum]
INSTALLING INSTRUCTIONS FOR GORDIAN KNOT!
During install of GordianKnot, select 'Custom install' and install everything except DivX 4, AviSynth, and Decomb.
Instead, install AviSynth v2.06, dl from SourceForge. Then (if you don't use DivX 3.11) install DivX 5.02 from [the DivX team]. Instructions for that can be found at [Doom9's forum]. And last, get the latest version of Decomb from Don Graft (link coming).
When the install is ready, then move a copy of mpeg2dec.dll, InverseTelecine.dll, !Avisynth_Spatial.dll, GreedyHMA.dll, vobsub.dll (from systems folder), and SimpleResize.dll to your AviSynth plugin directory. Here you should also put the latest Decomb and any other dll containing AviSynthPlugins.
From now on you should always edit your GordianKnot generated script so no traces of the lines starting with LoadPlugin exists. They are not needed when the plugins are auto-loaded by AviSynth.
